Product Manager

Prover Technology is looking for a Product Manager. This is a cross functional-role, and the person will work closely with R&D, application engineering and marketing. The two key areas of responsibility are

PRODUCT MARKETING

You will drive production of software and language documentation for internal and external engineers. This includes technical white papers covering Prover iLock and PiSPEC, case studies, language reference manuals, training materials, PowerPoint sales presentations, etc. The documentation will be highly technical, and a solid understanding of software and complex systems engineering is required.

PRODUCT PLANNING

You will collect requirements from operators and suppliers world-wide for a wide range of technologies. You will ensure that R&D’s objectives are synchronized with demands from external and internal customers, as well as with the long term product vision. You will drive trade-off decisions between features and schedules, and collaborate with QA on certification plans. A solid track record in managing software development is required.

- Exceptional written communication skills
- Demonstrated capability to understand highly complex software requirements and tradeoffs between features, schedule, costs, quality, etc
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with a great degree of independence
- Willingness to communicate odd hours with colleagues in different time zones (China, USA, etc)
- Excellent organizational skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- The individual needs to speak flawless English. Additional language skills are a big plus: Swedish, French, Chinese, Italian, German, Spanish, etc
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, and a degree in computer science or similar is required.
- Previous experience in technical marketing or a related function is a plus.
- Previous experience in signaling is a plus.
