Besançon, June 11th 2007 - LEIRIOS, developer of automatic test generation software, today announced that Prover Plug-In will power its latest software product LEIRIOS Test Designer 3.0TM. By partnering with Prover Technology, LEIRIOS strengthens its UML test generation solutions for the Financial Services, Smartcard and Telecom industries.
Laurent Py, CEO of LEIRIOS, commented "Our main R&D priority is seamless integration with front-end and back-end tools from vendors like Compuware, Borland, and Mercury. Instead of continuing our costly in-house proof engine development, we decided to license this technology. After extensive benchmarking we choose Prover Plug-In since it yielded the best capacity and performance."
Thierry Lartaud, VP European Sales at Prover Technology continued "Test generation is one of the key solutions to overcoming towering V&V challenges. LEIRIOS Test Generator delivers outstanding performance and usability, and enables us to bring Prover Plug-In to UML Applications and companies like Ingenico, SNCF or Parkeon."
LEIRIOS technology includes, among other things, the ability to validate mobile phone functionality, electronic payment solutions, software applications for banking, telecoms, and financial institutions. Designed for professionals involved with computer development and software quality, LEIRIOS Test Designer™ 3.0 enables customers to automate software test design in areas that required manual handling until now. The market for automatic test design represents significant potential, especially considering that 80% of the time, test design is still done manually and that investment in software quality and testing is expected to exceed that of software development as early as 2008.
LEIRIOS Test Designer™ 3.0 incorporates a Prover Plug In proof engine from Prover Technolog (www.prover.com). Prover Plug-In automatically generates test cases and counterexamples, and performs proofs by exploring model execution paths using automated mathematical reasoning. Such systematic analysis complements simulation and provides deeper insight into system behaviour.
